The New Opportunity School for Women is a community of firm believers in love, equity and justice. Alongside many partners, we are working to achieve a world that honors and values all people. Until we have ended systemic racism, blatant discrimination and violence against people of color and those of various faith or cultural traditions, gender expressions/identities, sexual orientations or those who are differently abled, we still have work to do.
We at the New Opportunity School for Women promise to listen to those who have been and still are marginalized, oppressed and victimized. We promise to intentionally seek out organizations representing people of color and other marginalized groups and to collaborate in ways that empower the people we all strive to serve. We promise to examine and dismantle our unconscious biases. We promise to challenge ourselves, learn and grow.
