February is the month of love—a time to celebrate the connections that sustain us and the care we extend to one another. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting a Three-Day Session where women came together to invest in themselves, build community, and discover new strengths. Watching them support and encourage each other reminded us of what love looks like in action: women lifting women, creating space for growth, and believing in one another's potential. That's the heart of what we do at New Opportunity School.

And You Make It All Possible. We're only two months into the year, and already the momentum is incredible. We've held one Three-Day Non-Residential Program with eight more scheduled throughout 2026. We've conducted two grad groups and will continue meeting with our graduates monthly. We have several community events planned, plus our two-week residential sessions in June and October that will transform the lives of women across Kentucky and Appalachia. None of this happens without you. Every program, every session, every moment of connection requires resources—facilitators, materials, space, support staff, meals, and so much more. Your contributions make it all possible. You're not just funding programs; you're investing in women who are discovering their strength, building their confidence, and creating brighter futures for themselves and their families.
The impact ripples outward in ways we can't always measure—a woman who finds her voice, a family that benefits from her newfound confidence, a community that gains a stronger leader. That's what your generosity creates, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in this work. |

Celebrating Our Partnership with Park Community Credit Union Foundation
We're honored to be one of ten recipients of the 2025 Pathways to Prosperity grants from Park Community Credit Union Foundation. We received $10,000 to support our Residential Session, the immersive program that empowers women to build confidence, develop job and life skills, and access education and employment opportunities.
This grant is part of the Foundation's commitment to supporting nonprofits working in financial wellbeing, education, and thriving communities across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Since 2019, the Foundation has invested over $272,000 in organizations creating pathways to success in our region. Thank you to Park Community Credit Union Foundation for believing in our work and investing in the women we serve. |

We've been Keeping a Secret |
|

We've been working on something special, and we're thrilled to give you a first look. New Opportunity School is launching an online magazine that will feature the stories of our graduates—told in their own voices, from their own perspectives.
These are the stories of transformation, courage, and resilience that happen when women are given the opportunity to invest in themselves. They're powerful, honest, and inspiring—and we can't wait to share them with you.
We're still putting the finishing touches on our first issue, but we wanted to let you in on the secret. Click the button below to visit our landing page where you can subscribe and be among the first to receive the magazine when it launches. You'll also be able to share it with others who might be inspired by these incredible women and their journeys. Stay tuned- something beautiful is coming! |
